Team Essential – Succeeding Together

Course description:  This program explores the essentials that team members and leaders need to understand for team success.  Included in the session is discussion around the different types of teams, the four stages of team development and how to understand and deal with different personalities on the team.

 Team Healing Workshop

Course description:  This facilitated session begins by promoting open communication in a safe-zone environment, utilizing the true “I-Message” format, and sharing perspectives without blame.  Small group work identifies strengths and needs of the team.  The results are developed into a plan of action and commitment based on personal ownership.

Length:  Full-day (can be done as 2 half-days)

    • Externalize feelings using the I-message format
    • Identify situational issues
    • Explain situational impact on trust

Building Your Team – Tools for Managers

Course description:  Getting and keeping good team members is one of the primary challenges of employers today.  The other challenge is to get those team members to work together.  As a leader, your job is not only to attract and retain quality team members, but also to help them to be productive and focused.  In this program, we’ll discuss a model for developing a highly effective team, as well as give you the tools to conduct your own “team building” sessions.

Objectives:  In this program we will explore:

    • A model for highly effective teams (PERFORM),
    • The keys to being an effective team leader,
    • The phases of team development,
    • Tools to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your team, and
    • At least 4 team building techniques that you can use with your own teams.

 Working Effectively in Teams

Course description:  The foundation of a successful team relies upon understanding yourself and other team members.  The ability to work with other people (who might be very different from you) effectively is a key ingredient to a productive team.  In this program, we will complete a self-assessment and a team maze project to explore being an effective team player and dealing with others who may not be!

Length:  Lunch & Learn: 1 Hour
Workshop:  3-4 Hours
Minimum/Maximum participants – 15/30 

Objectives: By participating in this session, participants should be able to:

    • Gain insight into your own team behavior.
    • Increase your understanding of other team member’s behaviors.
    • Understand your preferred communication style and how that may differ from others.
    • List assertive communication strategies to get what you need and help others get what they need.
    • Describe how you typically deal with conflict and difficult team members and what may or may not be effective.
    • Continue to work on fostering teamwork on your team.

 5 Dysfunctions of Teams

Course description:  This program is based on the highly successful book by the same name and deals with the five most common dysfunctions of teams.  By looking at and exploring the top dysfunctions, participants are able to self assess their teams and determine a plan for dealing with their teams dysfunctions.

Length:  ½ day, 5 hour and full day sessions are available.
Minimum/Maximum participants:  15/30

 Objectives:  After participating in this session participants should be able to:

    • Understand the behaviors that most commonly derail teams. 
    • Assess which areas their team(s) struggles with the most, and why. 
    • Develop a personalized action plan designed to help their team overcome its dysfunctions and work together more cohesively
