What is UCCC?

The University Child Care Committee (UCCC) was formed in the 1970's to advise the university administration regarding the child care needs of students, faculty and staff members of the university community. The Committee's charge was to survey, study, and recommend ways and means by which the needs might be met. In carrying out its assignments, the Committee was encouraged to cooperate as fully as feasible with the city of Ames and with all other appropriate public agencies and interested private organizations.

The current mission of UCCC is still to address the ever pressing needs of our ISU families and to provide recommendations to the ISU Administration and Campus Child Care Coordinator.
